February 2012, Divine Vines was pleased to help Emma and Will make their dream wedding a reality. The couple, joined by friends and family, exchanged promises of love and loyalty on February 25th at St Andrew Wesley United Church in Vancouver and Divine Vines was there at every step, adorning the special day with beautifully blooming winter wedding florals.
Emma’s dress is a simple and romantic design, so Divine Vines created a bouquet to reflect this classic style. The bride carried a dainty, feminine, hand-tied bouquet in all white florals. Fragrant tulips, ranunculus, anemones and hydrangea, enhanced with gold filigree leaves, made a gorgeous addition to Emma’s look and highlighted the unique beauty of the winter wedding aesthetic. When she entered the room, all eyes turned to the brilliance of the bride-to-be.
Along with classic white, Divine Vines crafted bouquets of deep reds, oranges and yellows, adding a warmth to the reception space, reflecting the loving glow of the newly joined couple. Red curly willow branches, gold filigree leaves and delicate dancing white dendrobium blooms rose from tall glass vases to flank the bridal altar in majestic whimsy. The altar décor was mimicked in the reception centrepieces, which were lit from below to add a sparkle to the wintery arrangements.
Wanting to make the guests of Emma and Will feel special, Divine Vines created eye-catching arrangements which adorned all levels of the reception space. Low Osaka bowls from Upright Décor (www.uprightdecor.com) were filled with a swirl of curly willow, hydrangea, anemone, tulips, and ranunculus. These arrangements added an element of contrast to the reception décor and complimented the tall centrepieces. The theme carried into the high-top cocktail tables as cube vase centerpieces filled with tulips, ranunculus, anemone and hydrangea.
Divine Vines – Vancouver Flowers Yaletown is honoured to have had a share in Emma and Will’s special day and wishes them a million more days of marital bliss.
