Exciting Growth, Leading New Announcements at Divine Vines!

Divine Vines has seen some exciting changes over the last few years! The award-winning Vancouver Contemporary Floral Designer has been growing in size, winning multiple awards, and moving to a new location to make room for their expanding business!

Established in 2006, Divine Vines, and it’s creative team, have made it their mission to provide the perfect floral arrangements that combine exquisite beauty with contemporary and unique designs.

In 2016, Divine Vines grew too big for their old roots and expanded from their small, 364 square foot space at 1066 Mainland Street, where they had been situated since 2006. Still located in the beautiful Yaletown area, they moved to the new, much larger space at 1024 mainland, just a short distance down the street. This new location was bursting with extra space for the business to grow into, at four times the size of the old location, and reaching up to 1460 square foot.

In addition, Divine Vines has been the recipient of a variety of awards, including the 2015 Best of the City Silver award, and they were also the proud winners of the Best Of Vancouver Courier 2016 award for best florist.

What makes Divine Vines special is that their gorgeous floral arrangements do not just come from a regular florist but rather from a very talented team of floral fashionista’s who specialize in creating bouquets that suit their customer’s needs with immaculate style and polish. Currently, this team includes five fabulous floral fashionista’s, including Marie Oyama, Katherine Korzeniowska, Amy Kim, and their awesome support team Tabitha Montgomery, and Tracey Nimmo, but Divine Vines is welcoming a new addition to their talented design team, Jamey McDonald.

What makes Divine Vines special is that their gorgeous floral arrangements do not just come from a regular florist but rather from a very talented team of floral fashionistas.

Jamey’s first flower shop job was in the affluent Rosedale neighbourhood of Toronto, and continued to work in various other flower shops throughout the city, landing his last job there as a floral designer in a flower studio specializing in weddings and events. In 2004 he fell in love with the West Coast and uprooted to Vancouver where he was employed as a floral designer at a high-end flower shop in Kerrisdale. He specialized in hotel and event floral designs, window displays and store merchandising, as well as collaborating with event planners who designed flowers for Royals and Stars.

Jamey is passionate about his work as a floral designer, influenced by his love for flowers and nature, as well as his many other hobbies and interests, including interior design and art. Through his artistry, he shares this love and knowledge of nature and design and draws inspiration from these two worlds to create beautiful floral arrangements. As someone who loves entertaining, he has a strong skill set in catering his work to special events.
